DD Freedish DTH collected 31cr from sale of DTH Slot

NEW DELHI / DTH News Blog: DD Free dish is India's Free DTH Service by Prasar Bharati / Doordarshan. Doordarshan claimed to have earned Rs.31.2 Crore by selling five vacant TV channel slots of DD Free Dish.

In 24th eauction, which was held on 9th November 2015, two new channel coming soon DTH platform " Aaj Tak" and "Big Magic".

Also Mr. CK Jain informed via official twitter account that three existing channels, namely India News, News24 and Hindi movie channel Manoranjan TV, have extended its licence for a year.

Big Magic Ganga will be placed on dd free dish tonight. Aaj Tak and Home Shop 18 will be placed from mid November. Sony mix this month end.

According to Economic Times News, here is bidding amount of TV channels:
News24               : Rs 6.5 Crore (Highest Bidding)
Manoranjan TV     : Rs 6.4 Crore
India News          : Rs 6.3 Crore
Aaj Tak               : Rs 6 Crore
Big Magic             : Rs 6 Crore

"We have mopped up Rs 31.2 Crore from five slots. Aaj Tak and Big Magic are new additions. They are paying Rs 6 Crore each. News24, Manoranjan TV and India News have extended their contract. They are paying Rs 6.5 Crore, Rs 6.4 Crore and Rs 6.3 Crore respectively," Doordarshan DDG CK Jain said.

Aaj Tak and Big Magic very soon would be available on DD Free Dish Platform. Both channels are Pay channels now available free-to-air.
