X Factor India, Sonu Nigam is judging the Indian version of the music reality show 'X Factor'. The singing talent show has been adapted from the successful international show 'The X Factor'. The auditions for the show, which will be aired on Sony Entertainment channel, are going on in several parts of the country.

The 2011 competition is open to all Indian citizens born before January 15, 1995. There are 3 categories for registrant:

Solo performances for those between 16 and 24 completed years of age as on January 15, 2011
for those equal to and above 25 years of age as on January 15, 2011
Group performance for a group of 2 or more people.

all of which should be above the age of 16 years as on January 15, 2011.
