I&B raised demand of Rs.2000 crore from Six Indian DTH operators

I&B ministry had sent a demand letter to Six Indian DTH operators like Tata Sky, Dish TV to Pay Rs. 2,000 Crore


According to PTI / Economic times News, The information and broadcasting ministry has ask to six DTH operators to pay Rs.2000 crore which owe this amount as the license fee.

The I&B ministry had issued a demand letters to all the six DTH operators which collectively amount to around Rs.2000 crores, officials said.


Officials said that as per the guidelines for DTH services, the licensee's are expected to pay an annual fee which is equal to 10% of the firm's gross revenue.

The ministry had taken the matter to the Supreme Court where the case is pending.
