Epic Channel presenting new show on Indian Mythology "Animals In Mythology"


Epic TV, India's no.1 Hindi infotainment channel is going to launch a brand new show "Animals in Mythology". The new show starting from 4th July, in every Wednesday at 10 pm.
In "Animals in Mythology", you will see all stories in 4 part series (in 4 episodes) with  animals or birds characters like pig, peacock, snake, horse, lion, turtle, dog, and more.

As per Epic channel website “Whether in past legends and myths or present times, animals have always been an important link in the circle of life. They have even helped shape India’s history as an agrarian society. This series of vignettes explains the enigmatic existence and spiritual guru structure of animals, as well as their contribution to our daily lives.”

You will see some interesting stories from Indian mythology. I guess some stories may be about:
The Vasuki snake wraps its self around Lord Shiva as a necklace.
The Sheshnag is famous as Lord Vishnu’s mount.
Snake is also often adorned by Ganpati as a sacred thread or ‘janeu’.
Kaliya Snake in Yamuna River.
Mouse is associated with Ganesha
Garuna is associated with Vishnu
Pig associated with Barahavtar.
Monkey associated with Hanumaan And some other stories.

So you can there are lots for animals and birds stories available in Indian mythology. You can find these stories, pictures and paintings from old books.
Animals in Mythology will be aired beginning July 4, every Wednesday at 10 pm on EPIC TV
