Prasar Bharati New Proposal for DD English News Channel
In a bid to add private channels on dd direct plus run for money, Now Prasar Bharati is looking to launch new english channel, as DD News will become only Hindi News channel while Prasar Bharati will launch a dedicated English Channel.
I&B minister Manish Tewari suggested that an international channel would help showcase India as a soft power. Although DD News has seen several changes in the last one month. Efforts have been made to reinvent the channel with the evening prime time and breakfast news getting new anchors and packaging.
