G SAT-7 or INSAT-4F an advanced communication Satellite Launched for Telecom and Direct-to-Home (DTH) Service. Its also known by Rukmini satellite.

GSAT-7 or INSAT-4F is a multi-band communication satellite launched and developed by ISRO. The INSAT-4 series of satellites are aimed for improving the coverage of telecom and DTH broadcast services for India.

GSAT-7 is India's first satellite which carries the payloads in C-Band, Ku-band and UHF bands. The GSAT-7 payload design includes Multi-band communication. It is also India's first satellite which provide services to the India Defence Force ( IDF), Mainly Indian Navy.

G SAT-7 will be in 74 degree orbit, and its have mission life of 7 years. It's main work is communication purpose.
