Pradeep/Blog : The EPIC Channel is India's first genre-specific Hindi entertainment channel and will showcase content covering genres ranging from action, drama, comedy to narrative non-fiction. The channel celebrates India's heritage by creating unique and original content within the Indian history, folklore and mythology genre, using a very contemporary story telling format.

According to Business Standard website "The content of the channel is based on the history of the country and its mythology. We have tried to make the narrative as innovative and the content as differentiated as possible. History and mythology are two subjects that can invoke a lot of conversations and the content focuses on basing these conversations around the people involved," says Samat who was earlier MD, Disney India.
The content on Epic channel has been shot on HD cameras to provide real high definition feels. The channel available in SD format and also HD format.
The channel would be distributed by IndiaCast UTV Media Distribution Private Limited as its authorised agent for the distribution of the EPIC Channels across whole of India.The channel would be available on all leading DTH and Cable TV platform.
