After Delhi, Assam hike entertainment tax on DTH & Cable TV

Now watching Pay TV channels in Assam now become very expensive because after Delhi, now Assam state raised entertainment tax on DTH connections by 20%, and on cable TV entertainment tax increased jumped to 100%. Last year in Delhi, AAP government increased entertainment tax on DTH / cable TV connections.

So if you have private DTH connection; TATA Sky, Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV, Reliance Digital TV, Sun Direct and Videocon D2H then you have to pay 20% extra entertainment tax than other states excluding Delhi. Also if you have cable TV; Siti cable, Manthan or other cable TV services then you have to pay 100% extra entertainment tax.
After Delhi, Assam hike entertainment tax on DTH & Cable TV

Entertainment tax revised for DTH connection from Rs.25 to Rs.30 per subscriber, that is 20% extra tax and  for cable TV services entertainment tax revised from Rs.10 to Rs.20 per subscriber which is 100% extra tax.

In Hotels will continue to pay same Rs.50 per subscriber to show cable and DTH TV channels.
